NHMS ~ 5/18/13

NHMS ~ 4/27/13
The Hooligan Motorsports #8 was ready to make some right-hand turns as we hit the New Hampshire Motor Speedway road course on Saturday, April 27 for the Moat Mountain Smoke House & Brewing Company Legends Series. Although NHMS is not part of the NELCAR Tour this year, we are planning to visit the speedway as often as our schedule allows.
We hit the pits early in the morning, ready to race and armed with a boatload of Casey Jones Bones samples to hand out!
Everyone changed gears and got back into the swing of road racing, after a long 6 months off. Although a bit chilly, the spring day proved to be a great one for racing.
Matt finished p12 in a 20 car field featuring road racers from all over New England -- and we handed out tuns of Casey Jones Bones treats to eager race dogs and their owners!
Look for the Hooligan #8 to be back in action at NHMS during the Father's Day weekend Loudon Classic -- and quite possibly on May 18 as well!

Beech Ridge PASS Weekend ~ 5/4/13
The NELCAR tour hit Beech Ridge Motor Speedway for the first time in 2013 as part of the Pro All Stars Series North on Saturday, May 4. The sun was shining and it was a great day for racing!

The #8 was loose all day, which was not helped by a hectic hurry-up pace between the heat and feature races. We finished p17, which was certainly not the result we had hoped for. We'll get 'em next time...

Oxford Plains Speedway ~ April 21, 2013
The Hooligan Motorsports team hit the road early in the morning and headed North to Oxford Plains on April 21st for our second race of the season.
The NELCAR tour made their first trip to Oxford of the season as part of the Pro All Stars Series North (PASS) season opener. Additionally, the race was a National Qualifier event for the US Legends Nationals being held in Pennsylvania this fall.
With qualifying spots for the Nationals on the line, we saw the largest car count since we've been running the NELCAR tour! 30 cars showed up, however the racing field ended up at 29 after another competitor had some motor issues in practice.
Matt brought home his first Top Ten of the 2013 season, finishing p10.
It was a very successful day on the track for the Hooligan Motorsports #8. We are looking forward to returning to Oxford Plains on June 1st.

Wiscasset Speedway ~ April 6, 2013
The 2013 NELCAR touring series kicked off on April 6th at Wiscasset Speedway. It was a cold, windy day at the race track, but that didn't stop the Legends!
We were pleased to debut Casey Jones Bones both on the car and in the pits! We will have samples of these amazing -- made in New Hampshire -- dog treats in our pit area all season long, so make sure you stop by to grab some for your 4-legged kids!
The Hooligan Motorsports #8 survived the harsh winds and 40-degree temperatures to take home an 11th place finish. We look forward to returning to Wiscasset in June!
